Amendment in Central Motor Vehicles Rules to Promote Clean Fuel

New Delhi: The Ministry of Road Transport and Highways has notified amendments in the Central Motor Vehicles Rules to promote clean fuel in rural India. After this modification, diesel and petrol powered agricultural tractors, power tillers and construction equipment vehicles can be converted to CNG, Bio-CNG and LNG fuel engines is.

The ministry tweeted, “The ministry has notified an amendment to the Central Motor Vehicles Rules, 1989 to replace engines of agricultural tractors, power tillers, construction equipment vehicles and harvesters with CNG, Bio-CNG and LNG fuels.”
