Mumbai. Bajaj Auto on Tuesday said its total vehicle sales in May 2021 grew by 114 per cent to 2,71,862 units as compared to the same month last year. Bajaj Auto said in a statement that the company had sold 1,27,128 vehicles in May last year. The company said domestic sales grew 52 per cent to 60,830 units in May 2021 from 40,074 units in May 2020.
Total exports grew by 142 per cent to 2,11,032 units during the period under review, as against 87,054 units in May 2020. In another release, MG Motor India said that their sales stood at 1,016 units in May 2021 as compared to 710 in the same month last year.
The company said that its business was affected due to the lockdown imposed to prevent the second wave of corona virus. (agency)
