Dcw swati maliwal writes president of india on padma shri kangana ranaut statement on independence as bheekh

New Delhi. The Delhi Commission for Women has strongly objected to the statement given by Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut regarding independence in 1947. The commission has written a letter to the President. In which Commission Chairperson Swati Maliwal has demanded to take back Kangana’s Padma Shri. Along with this, an appeal has been made to register a case of sedition for the insult to the freedom fighters done by the actress.

In the letter written by the chairperson of the commission, it has been said that Kangana has called the independence achieved in 1947 as begging. Due to which not only have countless martyrs like Mahatma Gandhi, Bhagat Singh have been insulted but it has also hurt the sentiments of lakhs of countrymen. Kangana has also recently been honored with one of the highest honors of the country, Padma Shri. In such a situation, not only should this honor be withdrawn from this actress who spread hatred, but a case should also be registered against her under the sections of sedition.

To get independence for the country, many movements like Champaran Satyagraha, Khilafat Movement, Battle of 1857, Quit India Movement, Civil Disobedience Movement and Dandi March were launched against British rule. How many brave people sacrificed their lives to bring freedom. Who can forget a massacre like the Jallianwala Bagh massacre, but these important pages of history are visible to Kangana Ranaut.

Swati says this is not the first time. Even before this, Kangana has spewed poison on many issues. She runs campaigns against those who do not agree with her. Kangana’s behavior also does not deserve to get an award like Padma Shri. Therefore, taking cognizance of this matter, this award should be withdrawn. Kangana needs treatment, not rewards.
