Former Zimbabwean cricketer Grant Flower has joined Sussex as the new batting coach. This was confirmed by the club on Wednesday. Flower, 51, replaces Jason Swift, who has decided to leave the club for other opportunities. After joining Sussex, Flower said: “I am delighted to have joined the Sussex coaching staff and I look forward to serving. I am looking forward to coaching young batsmen. You will get an opportunity to improve your journey.”

He continued, “I have always enjoyed playing against the club and admired their professional approach and hyper-competition. Hopefully I will be able to combine this with some of my international coaching experience and help make the batting unit both believable and exciting.” I can contribute.”

Welcoming Sussex’s one-day head coach Ian Salisbury, Flower said: “I have known him since my first visit to Zimbabwe in 1989 and respect his personal qualities, while his coaching and record are unmatched in their own right.” Huh.”
