‘His Story’ actor Mrinal Dutt made a big statement, said ‘I want variety in my work…’: Actor Mrinal, who has made a mark in the web series ‘His Story’ and the science fiction based short film ’55 Km/s’ Dutt says he looks forward to working with talented directors and wants to maintain diversity when it comes to films. The actor hails from Delhi and started his career with TV before venturing into the digital world. He got success with programs like ‘Upstart’, ‘Hello Mimi’. In 2020, Dutt was especially recognized for his two series ‘His Story’ (based on homosexuality) and the short film ’55 km/sec’.
The actor told PTI, “I want variety in whatever work I choose. I want to do all kinds of work because I have just started. There are so many talented filmmakers I want to work with.” Dutt said, “I also know that if something doesn’t succeed, it doesn’t end the world. If you don’t have anything today, tomorrow you will have an opportunity to get something good.”
The actor, 32, said that he realized his passion for acting while studying at Delhi’s Zakir Hussain College. He said, “The last two years in college were active in plays. I did many street plays in the old Delhi areas. Our college falls in Old Delhi itself.” He said, “After that I did a workshop with Act One from where I got a chance to work in some commercials. On coming to Mumbai, I was fortunate that I started getting work soon.” The actor initially got a chance to work on television but considers himself lucky to be able to escape the clichéd television serials. Dutt is currently seen in the series ‘Khwabon Ke Parindey’ which will release on Voot on June 14. (language)
