Royal Challengers Bangalore team defeated Mumbai Indians by 7 wickets in the 18th match of the Indian Premier League 2022 with the strong batting of Anuj Rawat (66) and Virat Kohli (48). This is RCB’s third win out of four matches in season 15. At the same time, five-time champions Mumbai has to face the fourth consecutive defeat in the league. With this win, RCB’s team has come at number three in the points table. Whereas Mumbai Indians is present at 9th place.
In this match, RCB team won the toss and decided to bowl first. The team’s bowlers, proving the captain’s decision right, restricted Mumbai to just 151 runs for 6 wickets in 20 overs. Suryakumar Yadav played the most innings of 68 runs in 37 balls for Mumbai. During this he also hit 5 fours and 6 sixes.

Apart from Surya, Ishan Kishan and captain Rohit Sharma played an innings of 26-26 runs for Mumbai. In the last, Jaydev Unadkat contributed 13 runs while Tilak Verma and Kieron Pollard could not even open their account.
In the bowling for RCB, Vanendu Hasaranga and Harshal took two wickets each. Apart from these, Akashdeep got a wicket.
Opener batsman Captain Faf du Plessis and Anuj Rawat got the best start for RCB’s team chasing the target. There was a partnership of 50 runs between these two players for the first wicket. Du Plessis became the victim of Jaydev Unadkat after scoring 16 runs. After the dismissal of Du Plessis, Anuj stood on the second left and once again shared an 80-run partnership with Virat Kohli. During this, he also completed his half-century.

Anuj was dismissed after playing a powerful innings of 66 runs in 47 balls. He hit two fours and 6 sixes in his innings. On the other hand, Virat Kohli missed his half-century by just two runs and contributed 48 runs in 36 balls. In the end, Dinesh Karthik returned unbeaten on 7 and Glenn Maxwell scored 8. In this way, RCB completed the target of 152 runs in 18.3 overs.
