The England team, which made it to the semi-finals of the T20 World Cup 2021, has suffered a major setback before the knockout match. Team’s star opener Jason Roy has been ruled out of the tournament due to injury. He has been replaced in the squad of James Vince. Roy was injured while batting in the match against South Africa, in which England had to face defeat.

Roy was quoted by the ECB as saying, “I will be here to support the players, hope we play this way in the tournament going forward and lift the trophy. It has been an incredible journey so far, and we have to express ourselves and focus on us.” Gotta keep doing it.”

He added, “Rehab has started. Even though I have a big calf injury, I want to get myself fit for the Caribbean tour early next year.”
