England fast bowler Jofra Archer has been away from cricket for a long time. Archer has had a second operation for his injured right elbow. He was operated on in London on 11 December. The England and Wales Cricket Board gave this information.

The ECB said fast bowler Jofra Archer has undergone a second operation for his injured right elbow and will be out of action until next summer. “The operation was performed to relieve long-standing pain in his right elbow,” the ECB said in a statement. Troubles abound.

The 26-year-old fast bowler has not been able to take part in international cricket for the last nine months. He will also miss the Test series against West Indies in March. Archer’s elbow was operated on in May after his withdrawal from the Indian Premier League. He again felt pain in the same area while bowling for Sussex in the English County Championship match.
