The Indian team for the home T20 and ODI series against West Indies has been announced. After leaving the captaincy of Kohli, the newly appointed captain Rohit Sharma has returned to the team. The team was announced after the selection committee meeting in Bengaluru on Wednesday evening.
Senior spinner Kuldeep Yadav has returned to the team. Along with this, leg-spinner Ravi Bishnoi, who made his mark with Under-19 cricket, has also been selected in the Indian team for the first time for the limited overs series. Along with this, fast bowler Avesh Khan has also been given a place in the ODI and T20 team. Deepak Hooda has been included in the ODI team while Venkatesh Iyer has proved unsuccessful in making it to the ODI team. At the same time, Jasprit Bumrah and Mohammed Shami have been rested. KL Rahul will join the team from the second ODI. While all-rounder Ravindra Jadej has not been included in the team due to a knee injury.
