‘Lakshya’ film completes 17 years, Farhan Akhtar said ‘I will always be thankful to the army for the help…’ Thank you for your help during construction. The film Lakshya, set against the backdrop of the Kargil War of 1999, was directed by Farhan Akhtar. The story of the film revolves around an aimless youth Karan Shergill (Hrithik Roshan starrer character) who joins the Indian Army and emerges as a hero on the battlefield.
The director (47) shot most of the scenes in the second half of the film in Ladakh. He said that the film is an experience to cherish for a lifetime. Akhtar wrote, “I will always be grateful to the Indian Army and the determined artists and personnel who have made incomparable contributions to help in this lifelong experience… I wouldn’t call it a film because it’s always been more than that for me. aim. 17 years.”
The 2004 war-based film was the actor-filmmaker’s second directorial venture after ‘Dil Chahta Hai’. Lakshya also stars Preity Zinta, Amitabh Bachchan, Om Puri, Amrish Puri and Ranvir Shorey.
