Spanish tennis legend Rafael Nadal has tested positive for coronavirus after participating in an exhibition tournament in Abu Dhabi. Sharing this information by tweeting on Monday, Nadal said that his positive report has come under PCR test after reaching Spain.

Nadal said that he is not feeling well at the moment but he expects the situation to improve gradually. He is currently in quarantine at his house and the people who came in contact with him have been informed. Among those who came in contact with Nadal is the former emperor of Spain, Juan Carlos. He has been living in the UAE since allegations of financial scandals last year.

According to Spain’s El Mundo newspaper, which published photos of Nadal and 83-year-old Carlos together, in this photo both are seen without masks. Nadal said he was tested every two days on the tour and all had negative results before Saturday.

Nadal said he would have to be flexible with his sporting schedule once the virus hit. He said that he would analyze the upcoming program based on his position. Nadal has been away from competitive tennis for a long time due to injury. He also did not participate in Wimbledon, Tokyo Olympics and US Open.
