Kannada film actress Ragini Dwivedi was also arrested in this case. After spending five months in jail, Ragini was released on bail. After being released from jail, Ragini has broken her silence.
Now Ragini said in a conversation with India Today, ‘I was an easy target. Many of the accused were not even interrogated. We were scapegoats. Women were targeted. I am innocent and I stand by this. Ragini further said, ‘I have nothing to hide and I have nothing to do with illegal activities.’

Ragini is facing allegations of alleged collusion with drug peddlers and high-profile event organisers. Significantly, on August 21, the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) officials raided three places and arrested three drug dealers. NCB had raided locations like Kalyan Nagar, Niku Homes and Doddagubbi in Bengaluru. Hundreds of consignments of MD and LSD drugs were found from these three locations. Apart from this, more than two lakh cash was also found from one of these locations. In the drugs racket case, the Karnataka Police had raised suspicion on 180 people. Chargesheet of 2400 pages was filed.
