New Delhi: Two-wheeler manufacturer TVS Motors on Friday announced an assistance of Rs 40 crore to deal with the crisis of the ongoing Corona infection in the country. The company is managing it in association with Sundaram Clayton and other group companies (Sundaram Clayton and Other Group Companies). This money will be used to provide Oxygen Concentrators, PPE Kits, Medicines and other Medical Equipments (Oxygen Concentrators, PPE Kits, Medicines and Other Medical Equipment) across the country.
TVS said in a statement that it will also distribute 2,000 oxygen concentrators in hospitals and health centers in Tamil Nadu, Karnataka and Himachal Pradesh and more than 20,000 food packets per day for essential services workers. Along with this, more than one million masks, several thousand oximeters, PPE kits and other necessary medical equipment will also be provided at more than 500 government health centers.
TVS Motor President Venu Srinivasan said, “We are facing an unprecedented crisis in the country due to the second wave of corona infection. We must work unitedly in this situation to reduce the serious impact of the pandemic.”
TVS Motor had earlier announced a help of Rs 60 crore during the first wave of corona infection last year as well. He said that the company has distributed food packets and one million masks to more than two million health workers during the last one year. (agency)
