Anil has given a total of five attempts for the Civil Services Examination. Every time he could not clear this difficult exam due to some shortcomings. Although Anil was selected in the fourth attempt of the Civil Services Examination, he was allotted Indian Railways Account Services due to his rank of 569. Anil had accepted the post but he was not at all satisfied with it. After that he decided to give one more attempt and finally got selected for the IAS post in his fifth attempt.

According to Anil, it is very important to read NCERT books for the preparation of civil services exam. Apart from this, you can also study from the coaching notes. He believes that for UPSC preparation, one should study only from limited books. However, along with studies, it is also necessary to revise frequently. Apart from this, answer writing practice and mock tests should also be given on completion of studies.

Anil says that apart from studies, time management should also be taken care of. Many times people leave the paper due to lack of practice. He believes that even if you write less, you should try to attempt the entire paper. It is possible that it may take more time to get success, but during this time instead of losing courage, one should work hard with all their heart.
