The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) said on Wednesday that the West Indies cricket team will visit Pakistan to play three T20 matches before the Pakistan Super League (PSL) 2023. The West Indies team is already scheduled to play one-day matches for the ICC Cricket World Cup Super League in June 2022, to compensate their team for matches postponed due to Kovid-19 cases.

Recently, the ODI series between West Indies and Pakistan, starting in Karachi from December 18, was also postponed as five players from the visiting team were found to be Corona positive.

A total of nine players in the visiting team had become corona infected since reaching Karachi on 9 December.

The PCB and Cricket West Indies (CWI) then issued a joint statement, stating that the ODI series was postponed and would be played in early June 2022.

The West Indies team made a comeback in Karachi last week after playing three T20Is. Pakistan had a clean sweep in that series.
